Prints
We have a 14-day return and exchange policy for items damaged during shipping only, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request an exchange.
To be eligible for a return, please take a photo of the damage, and send it to me at alex@artbyalexsmith.com along with your order date and order number. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a replacement print at no cost to you.
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Paintings and Custom Commissions
All payments for paintings and custom commissions are made upfront, and are not eligible for returns or refunds.
For custom commissions, I will check in with you throughout the process and perform modifications and touchups to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the piece before mailing it to you.
Damages and issues (please read)
Custom commissions and big paintings will have insurance to protect the paintings. Please inspect your order upon reception. When you get your package and you're asked for a signature, just type on the signature field "the package is damaged". If you sign the reception of a damaged package with a regular signature, it may be considered the customer's fault.
After adding the note to the signature, contact me immediately at alex@artbyalexsmith.com so we can evaluate the issue, claim the insurance policy, and make it right.
